  • What the detailed lead view shows (including Open Framework-specific fields) and how to accept or decline a lead

For contractors browsing Open Framework job leads on the Plentific dashboard.

Leads are new jobs posted on the platform. Open Framework leads follow the same Leads experience as other jobs, with extra tags and fields that help you understand how the client is tendering the work. This article covers where to find those leads and how to get all the relevant details before you accept or decline.

Where to find your leads

All new jobs arrive in the Leads tab on the left navigation bar of your dashboard. They are listed chronologically, with the most recent at the top and older leads towards the bottom.

Open Framework leads appear in the same list as your other leads.

What the lead card shows

The lead card surfaces the most important information about the job at a glance. On the left of each card you will find:

  • Service

  • Job number

  • Date posted

  • Postcode

  • Client name

  • Relevant tags (such as “Emergency” or “Price list/SOR”)

For Open Framework jobs, the card also shows system tags so you can tell at a glance that the lead is from Open Framework, and whether it is a Direct Award or a Mini Competition.

The right side of the card shows the beginning of the job description.

Direct Award vs Mini Competition

Open Framework jobs are tendered in one of two ways. The tag on the lead card tells you which applies:

Route

What it means for you

Direct Award

The client has specifically engaged and invited you to this job. They most likely want to hire you. Accept the lead so you can communicate with the client directly.

Mini Competition

The job has been opened to eligible Open Framework contractors. You compete by engaging with the lead and submitting a quote before the application deadline.

Direct Award is especially important. Because the client has chosen you specifically, treating these leads as high priority and accepting promptly is the best way to stay in the conversation and progress towards hire.

Full job details and accepting or declining a lead

Clicking a lead opens the detailed lead view, where you can see the full job details and decide whether to accept or decline the lead.

In this view you will see the usual job information:

  • Area: full postcode and link to the location on a map.

  • Price: what purchasing the lead will cost you and how much commission will be added to the final invoice.

  • Due date: when the client is expecting the job to be completed by.

  • Full job description: a full description of the works, plus any relevant photos, videos, or diagrams.

  • Disclaimer agreement: confirmation that you have read and accept the disclaimer and any other additional terms and conditions.

  • Get this lead / Decline buttons: accept or decline the lead.

On Open Framework leads, you will also see:

  • That the job comes from Open Framework, and whether it is Direct Award or Mini Competition.

  • Expected award date (optional): when the client expects to award the job (accept quotes / hire a contractor). This field may not appear on every lead.

  • Application deadline: the date by which you should engage with the job lead and quote to the client. This is especially important on Mini Competition leads. Miss this date and you may no longer be able to engage.

Everything else about the lead remains the same as for other jobs; these Open Framework fields sit on top of the standard detail view.

On a Direct Award lead, accept the lead so you can message the client and move the opportunity forward. On a Mini Competition lead, accept in time to quote before the application deadline.
