How can I create or edit a property?
Updated over 10 months ago

New to TouchRight?

  • Click the 'Create' button against the Properties tile to add your first property.

  • Add the address details:

    • Address 1, city and postcode are mandatory.

    • Click Save.

    • If a new TouchRight account, consider using your office address to create some 'test' inspections.

Want to add more details about the property?

You can choose to add other useful information like:

  • Recurring appointment reminders (which will email a reminder to you when due)

  • Property Manager (which is useful to help filter properties, reports and appointments by user)

  • 'Notes' field where you can include any information to help the inspector including alarm codes and parking bay numbers

  • Property and key references

Editing a Property

If you want to edit a property record, click Properties>Manage Properties from the left main menu or click the 'Manage' button located in the Properties tile.

Find/search for the property, then click the pencil to the right of the property.

You can also add other useful property information in the Structure and Compliance sections underneath the property address, plus you can also add tenancies and landlords if required.

Structure and Compliance

The Structure and Compliance sections include fields such as the roof type, exterior structure, meter reading locations and EPC rating.

If you choose to add information to these fields, it's possible to pull this information automatically into a report, if it's included in the report template you are using. It can be very useful for information that you may need at the property, such as meter and stopcock locations. Read more about adding this information to templates here.

API Integration IDs

The API Integration IDs section will be available if you choose to connect your TouchRight account with one of our back office integration partners. The relevant fields will pre-fill with the relevant property IDs from that other system. This ensures a more reliable connection between both systems, should the property addresses be slightly different in each system.

Fixflo - if you connect your TouchRight account with Fixflo and you choose to add the Fixflo property ID here, it will make sure that any issues created in a TouchRight report are synced back to the correct property in Fixflo.

Note: if you are an existing client you can add the Fixflo IDs manually yourself, however if you would like assistance with updating all properties with the necessary Fixflo ID, please get in touch with the team. A fee for this service may apply.

When finished. Click the 'Save' button to update the property record with the information entered.
