How can I copy a report on the dashboard?
Updated over a year ago

If you've completed a report on the dashboard, you can choose to copy that report and use it in several different ways.

1. Copy a report and reuse the contents for a DIFFERENT property - if for example you've completed an inventory at a property and completed that report on the dashboard, you might need to complete an inventory on a similar property in the same block/street later on, so you can 'copy' that report, to save time and effort.

Note: that copying a report and using it against a different property will NOT include copying photos.

In the Reports screen, you'll see a copy icon to the right side of any 'final' report:

Press the copy icon, then choose the following options:

  • Property address - to copy the report to

  • Report type - name of the report

  • Report status - either 'in review' so the report will sit on the dashboard, or 'lock to sync' to be able to sync it straight to the app

  • Date and time - for the report (you can backdate the report if the report is not linked)

  • Inspector - person who will be completing the report

  • You can select the preview button in the centre bottom of the window to check it's the right template before proceeding

  • Then click the Copy button

2. Copy a report and reuse the contents and photos for the SAME property - if for example you've completed an inventory at a property, perhaps the tenants only move in for a short period of time and then you need to copy that report for a new tenancy. Or you may want to copy the check out report to use for an inventory update. Copying a report and using it against the same property means you can choose to copy the photos if required.

Get the option to:

  • Include all photos from the previous report - useful if there's only a short time between when the first report was produced. Note that they will be dated according to the date and time they were taken.

  • Include front cover photo only- useful to copy the front cover photo from your previous report to the new report, so you don't need to take it again. Please note: this only works if you added a front cover photo in the previous report.

  • Link to a previous report to produce a comparison.
